Regen

Damn and drat. I'd done everything right - carefully planned the route, booked the accommodation, bought the extra inner tube, cleaned the chain - and I was really looking forward to my excursion to the Bodensee. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about the weather. Since the end of April it has become steadily more unsettled, and will deteriorate considerably tonight, with steady rain and temperatures in the low teens predicted for tomorrow. Although weather forecasts can be wrong, it looks pretty dismal outside right now. It was therefore with a heavy heart that I cancelled my bookings and revoked my leave. As much as I wanted to go for this bike holiday, I do want to enjoy it - not give myself pneumonia. Nevertheless, I'm feeling quite dispirited right now. I'll have to wait until June for another chance.
